Friends first
By John Fischer
The Great Commission is all about making friends.
Now I know Jesus said,
“Therefore, go and make disciples …” (Matthew 28:19 NLT),
but Jesus himself showed that you can’t make a disciple until you first make a friend.
“I no longer call you slaves, because a master doesn’t confide in his slaves.
Now you are my friends,
since I have told you everything the Father told me.” (John 15:15 NLT)
So what Christians have called “witnessing” for some time really
should be more like building relationships.
It’s what you do over the long haul of a relationship that counts so much more than door-to-door canvassing of the neighborhood.
In the movie The Big Kahuna starring Danny DeVito and Kevin Spacey,
a young salesman fresh out of Baptist college goes on his first business trip to a convention with a couple seasoned veterans from his company.
In an attempt to land a CEO (“The Big Kahuna”) of a very large account as a new client,
the young Baptist, played surprisingly close to a real Baptist by Peter Tarrantino,
ends up the unlikely one of the three who has the best shot at talking with the CEO.
But instead of talking about the company he represents and setting up his partners with a meeting, the Baptist ends up spending the whole conversation witnessing to the man about Jesus. When his co-workers find out about this, Spacey goes ballistic. A hot-headed argument ensues between Spacey and the rookie salesman over the place of religion in business, and Danny DeVito, the oldest and wisest of the three, tries to calm them both down and provides some very sensible advice. What he says to the young Baptist should be heard and considered by all Christians. It goes something like this:
“The minute you lay hold of a conversation in order to steer it in a certain direction, it ceases to be a conversation, it’s a sales pitch; and you aren’t a human being anymore, you’re a marketing rep. If you really care about the man, ask him about his kids … his wife … his dreams ...”
It’s the difference between pushing an agenda and truly caring for somebody. If you care about somebody, you want to know what he or she is thinking, what is the person’s hopes and dreams, joys and disappointments – in other words, what are the things that make that person human. Friendship is all about finding common ground, and it is out of this common ground that what is shared will have credibility.

What does love means....
Love differs from heart to heart,
Love has never been defined since man began,
There is no explantion on what u would call Love.
The meaning of love and being loved?
I don't think anyone can explain it,
love is not something that can be explained
it is a feeling that each and everyone should feel.
love is never tired of waiting;
love is kind;
love has no envy;
love has no high opinion of itself,
love has no pride;
love's ways are ever fair,
it takes no thought for itself;
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
Is all the above true??
Ha ha...
to me love is....
Love is a feeling,
an emotion that cannot be explained.
Either you feel it or you don't.
We call it 'love' because there is no explanation for it.
It is not a rational, predetermined action.
When you can't rationalize that feeling then you call it love.
True love is when one cares about someone else's well being
as much as one cares about one's own.
Making someone else happy is certainly important,
and yet one's own happiness in addition to that
and as a result of that is what genuinely is true.
True love stands together in equality and balance to what is honest,
true and caring and not only about romantic love.
It is a kindness of heart, soul, and mind.
True love can be definited and is also a given,
known and reciprocated when two people "share" in it
Love is a feeling
that only the 2 people involved can understand,
and if you dont understand it yet then just wait.
Don't try to find a meaning for something which you cant.
Love is everywhere it is something to be found and then understand,
not explained.
There is no explaination that is anywhere near what loving someone
and being loved by the same person, truely is.

Hi everyone!
i m Back!
ok hasnt been blogging for the pass week...
anyone misses me?
HA ha...ok catch a movie last fri after work...
catch it at suntec 11.40pm

Hmm review of the moive:
The next time if I wanna watch a movie, I would definitely not to base on their trailers.. Spidey 3 is the best example.. practically the best part of the movie is in the trailers!! It was kinda boring but the only best part is the Special effects.. I do agreed that this is by far the worst of the 3.. One laid down the foundations for the sequels, two has a great fighting scene.. this one is a little bit too complicated...& too Lengthy...There should be more action than talking.
so... a little disappointment...
